About me

My name is Dirk Hartog and I am New York based paper artist.  I love finding myself mesmerized by how a simple fold, crease or cut in paper can create movement and bring life to an otherwise ordinary object.  In my work, I strive to create captivating lines, shadows and textures through manipulating paper. From structured geometric patterns to free form compositions, I find that this medium affords the opportunity for unlimited imagination.
